If your roof is rusting, repeatedly leaking or reaching the end of its life, we can assess whether a repair or metal roof replacement is appropriate. The written scope should identify the roof profile and material, removal and disposal, flashings and cappings, insulation where included, and any repairs to the supporting structure.

Discuss the roof covering and drainage together. Confirm access arrangements, inclusions and exclusions, required approvals and how any concealed damage will be handled before work starts.

A leak does not always mean you need a new roof. Tell us where water appears and whether it happens during heavy rain or particular wind conditions. Water can travel before it becomes visible inside, so an assessment helps identify the source.

The proposed repair should explain what is causing the problem, which roof sheets, flashings or junctions need attention, and whether the work is a temporary measure or a lasting repair. We will discuss the appropriate next step for your roof.

Rusted gutters, leaking joints and overflow need to be considered as part of the whole roof drainage path. Gutter profile, outlets, downpipes, overflow provisions and the existing discharge arrangements all matter.

Ask which gutters and downpipes need attention, what is included in their replacement and where the water will discharge. Larger downpipes alone may not resolve every drainage problem. Any connection or separately licensed work should be identified in the scope.

Roof pitch, junctions, materials, drainage and access should be considered together. Confirm who is responsible for structural design, engineering, approvals and any building or separately licensed work. These are separate from the roofing scope unless expressly included.
